Coimbatore: The BJP State Treasurer, S R Shekar stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a profound love for Tamil and has been touched by the language.
He opined that people who were politicking using the issue of the Tamil language are scared now after Modi dismissed any antagonism for the language so clearly.
Addressing a press conference held at the BJP office in Coimbatore, S R Shekar said that a march will be held on the occasion of Gandhi's 150th birthday to reiterate Gandhi's policies. He said that the rally will not have the symbol and flag of the BJP party and the parade will take place for 15 days with 5 to 15 km covered per day in all parliamentary constituencies.
The BJP State Treasurer thanked the PM for making Tamil people proud in the UN and added that the PM was praising the Tamil language more than the parties in Tamil Nadu. "Here, parties make the Tamil language a political entity. But Modi is the only Prime Minister who has reserved a place for Tamil in his heart."
